Day Two in Zambia...

Good evening from Lusaka, Zambia!

Today has been filled with an abundance of wonderful opportunities to spread the saving news of our Lord and an abundance of wonderful experiences shared with each other in this amazing country! Noah talked about some great teaching endeavors that his group got to go on (we're split into 2 teams of 4). My group of teachers also got the chance to preach of God's love to two schools. Our first had a little under 80 and the second had three classrooms with a total of 144 children. The joy that comes across these children's faces when we get to share the unconditional love of Jesus is beyond words. They answer questions so well and eagerly! They are so quick to say how Jesus died for all their sins on the cross, which is, of course, the best words to hear coming out of their mouths. We usually end each session with lots of hugs, high fives, fist bumps, pictures, "I love you's", and smiles :).

After all of the teaching, the Zambian pastors treated us to a fantastic authentic Zambian lunch. We ate at a wonderful place in a very busy food market. The meal consisted of piles of chicken, fish, and Nshima (a maize and water concoction that locals rave over with sides of various dipping mixtures). We were stuffed to say the least.

Besides befriending a few kittens running around our place of stay, that about wraps up day 2 in Zambia. We can't wait to share more of the blessings and experiences that our Lord gifts us with!

In love and in Christ,

Erica Oster
