As each day blends into the next, it's sad to think that this amazing experience is almost at its close. But as I said, God has been so good, not only to us, but also to Pastor Ibrahim, Pastor Victor, Pastor-in-training Rafael, and all of those others who have assisted us throughout our journey. God has also granted us with so many wonderful encounters with schools across this country. Not only have God's saving Words reached the souls of thousands of children through us as His mouthpieces, but they have also reached the hearts of the teachers and directors at these schools. On Wednesday, my team had gone to a preschool of about 50 children run by a young man named David. It turns out that David had organized this school by himself in the hopes of helping children grow up in the right way and away from the bad influences of the world. In fact, he hopes to set up more schools like this around the area. Pastor Ibrahim and Missionary Ohlmann talked with him for a while and he seemed very interested in the ministry. He was all for everything they had to say about what we confess here in the CLC. David said he wants to join the church service coming up on Sunday as well as the Bible school Pastor Ibrahim has here in Livingstone. In fact, he was <span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"> </span>also very interested in having Pastor Ibrahim be the pastor in charge of all the doctrinal oversight at his current school and any future schools he might establish. Isn't it incredible how our all-knowing Father places us in each and every place at just the right time with just the right people? </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;min-height:22px"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"></span><br></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">"However, as it is written: 'What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived' — the things God has prepared for those who love him—"</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">1 Corinthians 2:9</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;min-height:22px"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"></span><br></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">Alright, onto the events of Friday. We started the day with a lovely breakfast at the "Basil Cafe" located inside of our hostel. This place is beyond wonderful. There's free coffee and tea offered all day long, and, if you place an order before 3 PM, you can get free delicious pancakes (more like crepes) that come with lemon juice and sugar. </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">Anyways, we were picked up by Pastor Ibrahim and our drivers, Barnabas and William at 9 AM to leave to the first of two schools for the day. Both teams traveled together. We arrived at the first school and were greeted by around 300 children sitting outside. This school was beyond excited to have us coming as visitors from America to spread the Gospel of Christ with them! They greeted us with a letter read by one of the school girls, the choir singing their national anthem and a worship song, and a song sang by some of the smaller children. Henry, Noah, Andrea, and Amy took over the older kids while my group (Candy, Kari, Kaylee, and I) took the little ones. These kids were so ready to listen to the Words of Jesus and were ready with an answer to every question! It is so awesome to see the little lights shining in each of their faces as these kids talk about their ever-loving Savior. We got to hand out 300 little crochet hearts that Beth Kranz graciously made for these kids. The school sent us off with the utmost gratitude and joy. A young boy closed us with prayer and then we took off together to school number two. </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">School number two was also split into two groups of older and younger kids, which we took respectively. Now school was getting out for other kids around this time, so it was getting a little rowdy. But they still gave us their attention and the Lord still granted us with the great chance to speak of His perfect love and </span>gift of forgiveness and life through His Son. </p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">After we finished up at the schools, we returned to our hostel around 1:30 PM and had almost 2 hours until our event of the evening: a sunset cruise on the great Zambezi River. We were picked up around 3:30 by a shuttle going to our destination. However, there was a tad hiccup in our excursion. The first flag of suspicion was raised when the other people on our shuttle were dressed really fancy and we were in very casual clothing. The second flag was raised when we approached the triple-decker boat and there was a red carpet ready to take us aboard. Well, we walked on board and did a few circles until they told us we were on the wrong boat. This seemed much more realistic, but it was cool to at least look at the "Lady Livingstone." We eventually found our designated boat and settled in the lower deck. God had blessed us with the most beautiful weather for the occasion. We saw lots of hippos half-submerged near the shoreline as well as a crocodile chilling on a log. The sunset was sadly covered by some clouds on the horizon, but the rays still managed to peak through some spots. </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">And that about wraps up the day. We only have a few days left in the beautiful country of Zambia, but I'm so thankful God has put me on this journey! I can't wait to see what he has in store for the rest of the trip!</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">In love and in Christ,</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">Erica Oster</span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"><br></span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"></span></p><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgT6_3RRkzd_eP4C6lQuewulAQWcvH0amsViRx79h-jY_O7tfN6EgzaykaXSo--WKWEajko8BjnJIl5hOAhKiA1prvjqbQCcEVi1q5XLmYw7WW-KmhfH_hazoTyl88ahPXRbMM54ODe6A0Zjse2VUYndpN-2mvBzH4U6LDQ-LYOZr7wcu6G0Xin1t0C"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgT6_3RRkzd_eP4C6lQuewulAQWcvH0amsViRx79h-jY_O7tfN6EgzaykaXSo--WKWEajko8BjnJIl5hOAhKiA1prvjqbQCcEVi1q5XLmYw7WW-KmhfH_hazoTyl88ahPXRbMM54ODe6A0Zjse2VUYndpN-2mvBzH4U6LDQ-LYOZr7wcu6G0Xin1t0C=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7123831077914346594"></a></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjoumvcMTWpeq40I-4OiKFy6LNHkqmE5KE8vVLiovNrRzkm3mCAubqxlPCciifhIAGcLdbjOcZcXVdJ8JQY4eR3GnUhe4MpcOywjtFGqBFYJPMe9rvaLEabNZX-zCSOL2AMs5AhR4efCZKV_2eKPaTM_B-ytYoRO_OI_WAEFRch4P93pOhohtvKheps=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7123831085120164626"></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Today was our day to explore and we were spoiled with a safari and trip to Victoria Falls. The falls were initially named Mosi Oa Tunya by the natives which means "The Smoke that Thunders". This is a fitting name because the waterfall creates the most beautiful smokelike mist as it crashes into the rocks below to create a thunderous boom. As we walked along parts of the waterfall we were showered with the "smoke" that even ponchos could not seem to protect against. On our safari we saw saw elephants in the distance as they crossed the Zambezi River, zebras, giraffe, rhinos, impalas, king fisher, crocodile and hippos. We are truly in awe of God's beautiful creations and so grateful for this experience and will return to teaching tomorrow! <div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">In Christ, </div><div dir="auto">Andrea D'Onofrio </div></div> Todd H. (God is so good) Where do I even start? It is Sunday evening here and we are finishing a beautiful day spent teaching and worshipping with our fellow Zambian brothers and sisters. We traveled back to the Shimabala village where we taught yesterday and joined in a worship service. When we first arrived to the church there were a few adults and children gathered around. After some time had passed, Pastor Ibrahim led us in hymns as we waited for more people from the village to join us. It is common in Zambia to sing until a crowd forms as it signals to others to come and join for church. Once Pastor Ibrahim had determined there were enough people we started the church service and joined in a confessional liturgy with more hymns. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">With the aid of our translator, Raphael, Todd preached on Ephesians 2. We are all familiar with this chapter because it famously discusses how we are saved by grace through faith. Yet, I saw it come to life in a way I had never seen before through the worship of this congregation. As they sang several songs in their native tongue and danced, the characteristics of a strong and great faith were evident even without understanding the words. A select group of women called the "choir" processed from the entrance of the church to the front where they sang and danced with the biggest smiles, joyful faces, and the most beautiful voices. It was the most pure and humble worship to the Lord glorifying and thanking Him. This truly was the most impactful part of the trip thus far for me. I was so moved that I joined in with the dancing and was soon after joined by several other mission helpers. After service, we passed out candy and bouncy balls for the children to play with and exchanged many hugs, high-fives and smiles. It was remarkable to see the Spirit of the Lord hard at work and to see their joy and love for Jesus. I pray I am blessed enough to return to this village someday. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Afterwards, we all traveled to a nearby village where my group taught. The children were so eager and excited to hear what we had to say. We finished our evening with our nightly walk to a nearby mall for dinner and then came back for prayer and hymns around the fire. Tonight we were blessed to have Pastor Ibrahim join us and he reminded us of two things: to pray for those back home as they are in turn praying for us and to not grow tired or loose our zeal for teaching throughout these long days. I think it is safe to say that our fervor for teaching was strenghtened after today's worship service. Tomorrow is our last day teaching in Lusaka before we make the voyage to Livingston and I write this with a heart of joy thinking about what seeds can be planted tomorrow. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Thank you for your continued prayers back home as we plant the seed of the Gospel! Here are two verses heavy on my heart tonight. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">"None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God. Ransom for him-for the redemption of their soul is costly" -Psalm 49:7.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand" -John 10:27-28.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Lord's blessings to you,</div><div dir="auto">Andrea D'Onofrio </div></div> Todd H. It may be morning there but over here in Zambia we just saw the sunset and will be going to bed in a couple hours.</p><p>Today started off with seeing our friends in the Shimabala Village. Pastor Ibrahim led us in some songs and then Henry led the opening prayer. Todd gave the sermon and it was on 2 very important words, Grace and Faith. We read through different stories that showed us we are not saved by our money or all of the good things that we do but by God's grace through faith. Our friend Raphael was there to help translate for us and led their choir in some of their songs that we really enjoyed listening to. At the end, people went up to the front and all started dancing around and eventually we went up to join them. </p><p>After church, we said our goodbyes and headed over to another church where one team taught their lessons to the children while the other team, my team, got to watch how they have been teaching and learn some things that we can add when we teach other children. I believe there was around 80 to 90 kids there. We talked to some of them a bit and got some pictures and then headed back to the hostel.</p><p>Took our nightly walk to the mall and ate at Galitos grilled chicken. Besides Henry, he ate Hungry Lion, a Zambian fried chicken place. Then we walked back to the hostel where Pastor Ibrahim was waiting for us. We went around back to play with our little cat friends and then finished the night with our hymns around the firepit.</p><p>We are all looking forward to going out to teach again tomorrow and for our trip to Livingstone on Tuesday.</p><p>Mungu ni mwema (God is so good) ni mwema kwangu (He's so good to me). </p><p><br></p><p>In Christ,</p><p>Kaylee Koenig</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKHFbqBJz7zJ7bNs-IKgNh2HXHBh70ImUz_JZmMBVVO5RkdSH3gbF4Mfd4uQNE4nI7bl_eoLpAv2iZOpb2QOwsb4xkOWlPi763yoyzXILZ919uE0B14j0zyj_5VL5n_fvU8ZMe_gnwpoI8npNLz5ZKpmDGsZ4Aa9Dbpdp0MBHyn_wKN5Bw4zyclzY3/s4160/IMG_20220717_071106396_HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3120" data-original-width="4160" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKHFbqBJz7zJ7bNs-IKgNh2HXHBh70ImUz_JZmMBVVO5RkdSH3gbF4Mfd4uQNE4nI7bl_eoLpAv2iZOpb2QOwsb4xkOWlPi763yoyzXILZ919uE0B14j0zyj_5VL5n_fvU8ZMe_gnwpoI8npNLz5ZKpmDGsZ4Aa9Dbpdp0MBHyn_wKN5Bw4zyclzY3/w308-h232/IMG_20220717_071106396_HDR.jpg" width="308"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYstv4zafqBPCo0cv2g1YbWvgy1rWeLxy8X_6MtFxRprXOxN2PkBEQeMgiuNv6FzshCU4sqWNH1-iZq_1GHkbmBzRrOaUTj4lV0IBDc5nRDTmPnmKG4ysoKyBuXTilsgjVXmsi0UaeBUajTB2JVGbSxX5McCA_kKlbnxrXC8bm64yRUM9UJQD3II2P/s4160/IMG_20220717_071003979.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3120" data-original-width="4160" height="233" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYstv4zafqBPCo0cv2g1YbWvgy1rWeLxy8X_6MtFxRprXOxN2PkBEQeMgiuNv6FzshCU4sqWNH1-iZq_1GHkbmBzRrOaUTj4lV0IBDc5nRDTmPnmKG4ysoKyBuXTilsgjVXmsi0UaeBUajTB2JVGbSxX5McCA_kKlbnxrXC8bm64yRUM9UJQD3II2P/w310-h233/IMG_20220717_071003979.jpg" width="310"></a><br></div><br></div><br><p></p><div class="RY3tic" data-latest-bg="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pIpsdOA2nEf8DyMupbas30M922WQcxM8OR56-w3OzI90jLAbX0oKPn9V0uiXZUyu5cgYlymOL5TI0JfdgqW2OytrmHv3GZPAqsp2TTWxWjIsMiyjp6s8XoRfyBLPipjir8ngObmyRdwDsqdejf26n6gWBaNULpBNc5INtEUPzR1DnedtdTUeRlRiFWFYzFtFcp5jp17PW-iDYy3dW43JjjIpgy7XgIbPKaAtxKuiLHGvlrz2WwZgh5oUqS-K3KQO5IB5-L_FKTee-M7HrXeBxsAvOaSElY4sWh4QoZtD9Bo_pDZL1FpHtml3Dq8aaYkZWrl6myBqy3uMrumLAigcV351zAXXTw9_k1R4i5BkGL-DwQNGWLdG5O4MQaM43NYpulVt1cGGFE_-qGmkSztg7YC5DTT1LSstI5zf5z7lt-BYAdDREGvr26J2aE7sbNRWEUdgYPXKEVB3tx8v9w3CaxXZclWxqIZLYaEYmg3tmu_vP0wdG-YnEr032y5yVw7a_rM64DmgC_f0uflW2Mnso9yP8-tY599JXaYsec9gRFTP4qZUABm_dUzrjcme679_-NMmMh__TjNDFcePizvn6Nw1wAGM173CUSgXGo52Djz45CEUMwrcuCnGHdHZqiNmndp0cJXr_EGKXxQEi2uwp1bhiRB8pk8zD4R8FVmyQ6xuRHIq1t8nYWLd27QGxmzcI1hVoqsv6SoS-ZtbanvcKvc1rc4pHe6LttN1sZTc6Gtsawc4Hb8eh9KCLNb0fLw=w263-h197-no?authuser=0" style="background-image: url("https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pIpsdOA2nEf8DyMupbas30M922WQcxM8OR56-w3OzI90jLAbX0oKPn9V0uiXZUyu5cgYlymOL5TI0JfdgqW2OytrmHv3GZPAqsp2TTWxWjIsMiyjp6s8XoRfyBLPipjir8ngObmyRdwDsqdejf26n6gWBaNULpBNc5INtEUPzR1DnedtdTUeRlRiFWFYzFtFcp5jp17PW-iDYy3dW43JjjIpgy7XgIbPKaAtxKuiLHGvlrz2WwZgh5oUqS-K3KQO5IB5-L_FKTee-M7HrXeBxsAvOaSElY4sWh4QoZtD9Bo_pDZL1FpHtml3Dq8aaYkZWrl6myBqy3uMrumLAigcV351zAXXTw9_k1R4i5BkGL-DwQNGWLdG5O4MQaM43NYpulVt1cGGFE_-qGmkSztg7YC5DTT1LSstI5zf5z7lt-BYAdDREGvr26J2aE7sbNRWEUdgYPXKEVB3tx8v9w3CaxXZclWxqIZLYaEYmg3tmu_vP0wdG-YnEr032y5yVw7a_rM64DmgC_f0uflW2Mnso9yP8-tY599JXaYsec9gRFTP4qZUABm_dUzrjcme679_-NMmMh__TjNDFcePizvn6Nw1wAGM173CUSgXGo52Djz45CEUMwrcuCnGHdHZqiNmndp0cJXr_EGKXxQEi2uwp1bhiRB8pk8zD4R8FVmyQ6xuRHIq1t8nYWLd27QGxmzcI1hVoqsv6SoS-ZtbanvcKvc1rc4pHe6LttN1sZTc6Gtsawc4Hb8eh9KCLNb0fLw=w263-h197-no?authuser=0"); opacity: 1;"><div aria-hidden="true" class="eGiHwc"></div><div aria-hidden="true" class="KYCEmd"></div></div>Todd H. (Good morning in Nyanja). Where to even begin? Let me start by saying today was even further confirmation that serving the Lord by going on an overseas mission trip has been the most fulfilling experience of my life, and I am so thankful for this opportunity we have been blessed with. </p><p>Pastor Ibrahim showed up along with our two incredible drivers, Franklin and Ezekiel, a little bit before 9:30 am which was our scheduled go time. A 45 minute drive took us to the village of Shimabala, just outside the outskirts of Lusaka. Pastor-in-training Raphael was there to greet us and lead us to the church. Once inside the enclosed and thatched building, we split children into two groups, one to stay inside and the other right outside the door. My (un)official count was around 150 total, although a few trickled in from surrounding villages throughout. Raphael and Miriam, a girl around my age (19), helped us to translate. And as ever, the children were attentive and quick to answer or greet us politely with a "you are welcome here, madame." </p><p>Once we finished up the lessons and distributed the gifts, you could practically feel the anticipation in the air as the children ran off to "the ground." About a 10 minute walk later, we showed up to a dusty clearing with two goalposts standing on the edges and a group of giggling children holding a soccer ball. After teams were chosen, a game of proper football, as they call it, was underway, with excellent showings from star midfielder Erica Oster and experienced goalie Noah Ohlmann, along with Kaylee playing forward and Henry playing all over the field. The local coach even commented on Erica's control of the ball with her head, so we will take that as a win for Team USA! All I caught of the football game was Noah impressing the group of boys with his pullup abilities and leading them in a mini boot camp round of pushups. I personally stayed off the football field and instead stuck to my calling of netball, a game akin to old-school basketball without the dribbling. With assistance from our new friends Miriam and Fatima, we lead our team to victory not once but twice. </p><p>Although it's winter here in the Southern Hemisphere, a sheen of sweat still glistened on everyone's brow when we finished the sports for the day. A group of girls crowded around Erica and myself and introduced themselves as Nancy, Mary, and Chandra among others. They were fascinated by the texture of our hair and repeatedly patted our cheeks and commented how pretty we all were as they braided our hair with their talented little hands. These slightly older girls led our group and the rest of the near 200 children at this point in games such as hand clapping and chants, tug of war using each other as ropes, and "land rover," which some of us might know as "red rover." They called for Henry and Noah to "come over," and eventually even shouted for "Grandpa" Todd to make his way across the line. </p><p>There's something about children at play that no language barrier can put a damper on, and you don't need to understand either Nyanja or English to interpret the smiles, laughter, and shrieks that we heard on the ground today. After many hugs and kisses and promises to return to come to church tomorrow morning, we all piled back into the vans and let the fellowship of our experience just wash over us. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to returning to the village again tomorrow!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEibQXH5D4yE4Y6sHxiQ4x5xi4dxe8_Yu0j0TMv3q558W_F1_o7koLvbhCz07bnXs8IvfpNFLLt2xZQYU878zD_Nk7EEQi83jv-NeeBIeKaE-0AJpQkkXOmbfeOd-Dk59CqQxqHezUyxuPGlP119Apo5rTwnonUaZXbyimY6-1N75qedBj5sBZzKzA_1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="864" data-original-width="1920" height="144" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEibQXH5D4yE4Y6sHxiQ4x5xi4dxe8_Yu0j0TMv3q558W_F1_o7koLvbhCz07bnXs8IvfpNFLLt2xZQYU878zD_Nk7EEQi83jv-NeeBIeKaE-0AJpQkkXOmbfeOd-Dk59CqQxqHezUyxuPGlP119Apo5rTwnonUaZXbyimY6-1N75qedBj5sBZzKzA_1" width="320"></a></div><p></p><p>Blessings in Christ, </p><div class="separator" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjQBHFqJx-FtSP8XHIHdItxLkU8LE1wYxZ8pJgLxz6xF0sEXgQnW8-0jCikRj7JB1F6DRrhu9lPp8ZoOVjoE65NN3jJ_ojTadv-l5pQrIo_QYypJQ5O6e85NOm6Lc527zOahNlkm_M6JFHHLtDjc77BBtqW873ALoojmA71uGz55BPSyIAE2Zb4sAdX" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="830" data-original-width="1107" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjQBHFqJx-FtSP8XHIHdItxLkU8LE1wYxZ8pJgLxz6xF0sEXgQnW8-0jCikRj7JB1F6DRrhu9lPp8ZoOVjoE65NN3jJ_ojTadv-l5pQrIo_QYypJQ5O6e85NOm6Lc527zOahNlkm_M6JFHHLtDjc77BBtqW873ALoojmA71uGz55BPSyIAE2Zb4sAdX" width="320"></a></div><p></p><p>Kari Wales</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNrYyaQl6Zot2tVXFu9LP1oZ4QAe3H63vo5TPtR2mnJnNdha7Xz9vkrCS53w4hL3FzmvxYMpr3qyAvBTm_cQySQdWiLXb3_Oae569XDHLqARr8748CAembkpNOk9B-9x64rLdOiX-Kth0H-JxiArp2B1Lwcp0XKWNHM0TCU9guuAwycxNHeOjEwDR/s4000/20220716_110332.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="4000" height="144" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJNrYyaQl6Zot2tVXFu9LP1oZ4QAe3H63vo5TPtR2mnJnNdha7Xz9vkrCS53w4hL3FzmvxYMpr3qyAvBTm_cQySQdWiLXb3_Oae569XDHLqARr8748CAembkpNOk9B-9x64rLdOiX-Kth0H-JxiArp2B1Lwcp0XKWNHM0TCU9guuAwycxNHeOjEwDR/s320/20220716_110332.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw2uzcUB7waHJ0uWrYdLeLfQyy11-QNfmTjZ5qZqEqzmRc-4yvu9y_tNiOd4HnnSuhl3RvFoMsZZ5xkivYFQZKX0SWiLQMza25e_PMNytD0TlOPCwm4xEDzQkF0CsWBALosbP79gZuR8g4Ow18eztXCg3fNuSM5IYqMY3VJzspCXfJJYH4TQ6QEA2U/s4000/20220716_105623.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2252" data-original-width="4000" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw2uzcUB7waHJ0uWrYdLeLfQyy11-QNfmTjZ5qZqEqzmRc-4yvu9y_tNiOd4HnnSuhl3RvFoMsZZ5xkivYFQZKX0SWiLQMza25e_PMNytD0TlOPCwm4xEDzQkF0CsWBALosbP79gZuR8g4Ow18eztXCg3fNuSM5IYqMY3VJzspCXfJJYH4TQ6QEA2U/s320/20220716_105623.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV1DNNqgTd1v2FHN3MH5yTtpDWVnlAAf6bg5GdGQzCPv2JUvi8Py6oL92TrR2MT0jrSNEKFxprhFamv_yBxUbRFV06uOhjayaKfqfCNcJOmnp9x8hXmkh1WOoToYOH-qGfY43OXVyjLXCIcuTI-re5WpDXyJa2REFVVzbrsI7CG6QHDrDuv22_TJCB/s4000/20220716_122933.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="4000" height="144" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV1DNNqgTd1v2FHN3MH5yTtpDWVnlAAf6bg5GdGQzCPv2JUvi8Py6oL92TrR2MT0jrSNEKFxprhFamv_yBxUbRFV06uOhjayaKfqfCNcJOmnp9x8hXmkh1WOoToYOH-qGfY43OXVyjLXCIcuTI-re5WpDXyJa2REFVVzbrsI7CG6QHDrDuv22_TJCB/s320/20220716_122933.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKYNpUwtKtzmVZUJTcwkcfCpYAaRHxlROdB_xf_4kPf17DU74LkltTCgZO6lBaV5v_en8l1oH4nPydfVoqtRfeFRahjb61FkJYdwhfMWZf5s3bavlVV1wxXMwWWK-VP4SZrFT4rIW5q5KCKuTWZvdYqjXYMQT7Y7VvNe7IjdtG8uEuwjNnz0ilRnYk/s4000/20220716_111501.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1800" data-original-width="4000" height="144" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKYNpUwtKtzmVZUJTcwkcfCpYAaRHxlROdB_xf_4kPf17DU74LkltTCgZO6lBaV5v_en8l1oH4nPydfVoqtRfeFRahjb61FkJYdwhfMWZf5s3bavlVV1wxXMwWWK-VP4SZrFT4rIW5q5KCKuTWZvdYqjXYMQT7Y7VvNe7IjdtG8uEuwjNnz0ilRnYk/s320/20220716_111501.jpg" width="320"></a></div><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>Todd H. Noah talked about some great teaching endeavors that his group got to go on (we're split into 2 teams of 4). My group of teachers also got the chance to preach of God's love to two schools. Our first had a little under 80 and the second had three classrooms with a total of 144 children. The joy that comes across these children's faces when we get to share the unconditional love of Jesus is beyond words. They answer questions so well and eagerly! They are so quick to say how Jesus died for all their sins on the cross, which is, of course, the best words to hear coming out of their mouths. We usually end each session with lots of hugs, high fives, fist bumps, pictures, "I love you's", and smiles :). </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"><br></span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">After all of the teaching, the Zambian pastors treated us to a fantastic authentic Zambian lunch. We were stuffed to say the least. </span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody"><br></span></p><p style="margin:0px;font-stretch:normal;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;color:rgb(0,0,0)"><span style="font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody">Besides befriending a few kittens running around our place of stay, that about wraps up day 2 in Zambia. The first session was taught in a beautiful chapel. There were around 230 children that came to hear the truth of God's Word! The lessons went very well and the children really seemed to understand what we were teaching. The second session was about 3 miles away and much smaller. There were about 80 children split between two classrooms. The lessons were going well and then something amazing happened. To our surprise, a little girl walked the 3 miles from the previous school. She took with her some friends that didn't get to hear the message. Isn't that wonderful! We had told the children to go out and spread the Word but to actually see it happen was absolutely incredible! Sometimes it's easy to forget how powerful God's Word truly is, so to witness It working in the hearts of His children was a blessing. </div><div dir="auto">With love from Lusaka,</div><div dir="auto">-Ohlmann, Noah </div><div dir="auto"><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjcU-EjaYFEa5jk1DEwI30I32GFVyTRlNOxFduuWcoVRPzh_7Lsd37RR3RMar72Fp3fI931aoDnsNiXL0nhTieTAqSCuiYmjsUjF5McimFhgCKEZkcTbKH2A7NkoLnny56dE5_-PPtEBYhM1IB-S8Yy7Oa7GJ-xbhpt0TDy_4lX8jehF2gwMSpolJZ_"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjcU-EjaYFEa5jk1DEwI30I32GFVyTRlNOxFduuWcoVRPzh_7Lsd37RR3RMar72Fp3fI931aoDnsNiXL0nhTieTAqSCuiYmjsUjF5McimFhgCKEZkcTbKH2A7NkoLnny56dE5_-PPtEBYhM1IB-S8Yy7Oa7GJ-xbhpt0TDy_4lX8jehF2gwMSpolJZ_=s320" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_7120576802255908434" /></a></div></div> Todd H. After 2 long days of travel we have offically completed our first full day and settled into our hostel where we shall live for the next 6 days. The weather is beautiful with cool mornings in the high 50's and the afternoons warming up to the mid 70's with bright sun. <div dir="auto"><br /></div><div dir="auto">Today our teams completed the first day of teaching and successfully reached approximately 550 souls in total by visiting 6 schools through the city. Pastor Ibrahim kindly coordinated this prior to our arrival and generously provided vans for our transportation. The prosperity Gospel is rampant here and so the goal is to teach about who the real Jesus is. We divived into 2 groups and taught how Jesus is true God, Man, Savior and for everyone by utilizing The Word, visual representations, songs, stickers and bracelets. The children greeted us with such joy, wonder and were incredibly respectful. The hunger these children displayed for Jesus was a beautiful reminder that truly all we need in this life is Him. When we handed out our gifts I held back tears because in each set of eyes beaming back at me I could see Jesus. The Spirit of The Lord is truly alive here and I pray we may all regain this hunger and zeal for the Lord in our daily life. </div><div dir="auto"><br /></div><div dir="auto">Please pray that the hearts of the souls we reached today would be open to receive the Holy Spirit and in turn that The Holy Spirit grant us wisdom to speak. While in Zambia they will spend the first week teaching in the Lusaka area. They will then travel several hours to Livingstone near the southern border where they will visit the Zambia-CLC headquarters and will teach in several surrounding villages. They will be traveling together but will divide into two teams each day to take the Gospel to different villages in and around Lusaka and Livingstone. </span></p><p></p><div><span style="color: #333333; font-family: Century Gothic;">Please pray that the Lord would give an abundance of wisdom, love, compassion, patience, and safety for the Mission Helpers and to those they go to serve as the Gospel is proclaimed to 3000+ children in several villages and cities in Zambia. Pray also for the pastors and church leaders who have spent much time and effort preparing for this Gospel outreach opportunity.</span></div></div></div>Todd H.
